President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and PM Modi Extend Basant Panchami Greetings

On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their warm greetings to the nation on Basant Panchami, a festival marking the arrival of spring and dedicated to Goddess Saraswati.

In her social media post on X, President Droupadi Murmu said Basant Panchami is celebrated enthusiastically across India and is a day devoted to seeking Goddess Saraswati’s blessings for knowledge and wisdom.

“I extend my heartfelt greetings to all fellow countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, which is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm on the arrival of spring. On this day, we also worship Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. My best wishes are that this festival may bring happiness and prosperity into the lives of all countrymen,” she said in her post.

Extending his greetings on the occasion, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan expressed hope that Goddess Saraswati would bless everyone with wisdom, creativity and harmony.

“On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, I extend warm greetings to all. May Maa Saraswati bless us with wisdom, creativity and harmony, and inspire us to pursue knowledge with humility and purpose.”

In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Basant Panchami is a sacred festival that celebrates the beauty and divinity of nature.
In a message shared on X, he said, “Wishing you all countless blessings on the sacred festival of Basant Panchami, dedicated to the beauty and divinity of nature. May the blessings of Mother Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and arts, be bestowed upon everyone.”
