A woman from Gurugram spent around Rs. 36,000 on food delivery in just three months. When she actually tracked her spending she was surprised and the results literally scared her. She has shared a post where we can understand that the cost of living is getting worse as the daily dependence on such lifestyle choices is nearly emptying the pockets of many.

In a social media post she said, “Tracked my food spending for 3 months. The results actually scared me.” She revealed that unknowingly spending such a huge amount is literally an alarming situation. Many people are dependent on such choices. It might be their need for an hour, but such spending is literally hitting the monthly budget.

The Gurugram resident mentioned that she primarily ordered food from Zomato, as well as from several eateries close to their lodging, while providing a monthly expenditure breakdown. Food related spending increased to Rs. 13,200 in the second month and was Rs. 10,800 in the third month, according to the breakdown in the post.

“So I’ve been living in Gurgaon for two years and this month, I finally sat down to calculate what I’m spending on food. That’s Rs. 35,400 in 3 months on food ALONE. Most of it, Zomato and random restaurants near my PG,” she mentioned in the post. Many are reacting to her post where many confess that such spending is hitting their monthly finances. Many did praise her for understanding and accepting the reality check, because everyone should be aware of their expenses.
