Despite how much we earn, we need to take some amount out of it and save. The savings rate must be different for everyone. The cost of living is getting too expensive. A man who is a bachelor took a strategic move. As per his post on Reddit, he shared that he has relocated to Delhi from Mumbai and is now saving Rs. 75,000 per month. Mumbai is the financial capital of India, but also, day by day, Mumbai is getting expensive too. Living paycheck to paycheck is simply not possible in a city like Mumbai.

The user has shared his own experience and posted on social media. “I recently shifted from Mumbai to Delhi NCR and the difference in lifestyle has honestly surprised me. I’m a bachelor earning around Rs. 1.4 L per month. In Mumbai, I was living in a decent 1BHK and paying close to Rs. 40K just in rent. It was fine, but it never really felt like I was living comfortably for what I was paying,” the user wrote.

“Now in Delhi NCR, I’m able to live a much better lifestyle compared to Mumbai and still save significantly more money. I’m finding great 1BHK options in the Rs. 20-25K range that are newer, far more spacious, in better societies and noticeably cleaner. The overall quality of housing for the price feels like a huge upgrade,” he added.

“The roads are wider and commuting feels easier and even daily expenses like house help and healthcare are more affordable. In Mumbai, I was saving around Rs. 40-50K a month, but here I’m able to save around Rs. 75K while living more comfortably. The metro is also significantly better and can take me anywhere in Delhi.”

“Overall, the move has genuinely improved both my lifestyle and savings. Curious if others who’ve moved from Mumbai to Delhi NCR feel the same,” he says.
