Zepto software engineer Kritika Kumari uploaded a screenshot of the online chat with her landlord. Kritika shared on X that she had previously told her landlord that she intended to leave her flat by the end of July. However, after having trouble locating an appropriate new house, she decided to get in touch with them to see if she could remain in the apartment until September.
“Tussi Na Jao,” was the landlord’s response. The landlord said, “Tussi na jao. Mai toh chahta hun aap acche se long term raho (Please don’t go. I want you to stay for the long term).”
I had informed my landlord that I would be vacating by the end of July, but I couldn’t find a flat. So, I texted him asking if I could stay until September. This is what he replied. pic.twitter.com/KUkYcNYLbt — Kritika kumari (@kritikatwtss) June 23, 2026
The screenshot is currently gaining popularity and receiving a ton of favorable reviews online. The screenshot of the WhatsApp message she received after requesting an extension on her stay indicated that her landlord had replied with an iconic line from the cult classic ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ rather than a formal response or a demand for higher rent. Also, this post got mixed reactions.
