Smart Time Management: Man Chooses 21 Minute Metro Journey Over 41 Minute Road Trip to Airport

Time management is the key to our daily life. Recently, a post went viral where a man explains how he escaped the heavy traffic and reached the airport before time. If we have a scheduled flight, then we have to arrive before some hours to do the check-in, security and boarding. The man from Chennai shared that he took the metro to catch the flight.

Anirudh, a user of X, described his first time riding the Chennai Metro en route to the airport. “I took the Chennai Metro for the first time, because I was forced. I was stuck in massive traffic jams on the way to the airport, now common in Chennai – ironically due to metro construction,” he mentioned in his post. “I had to get to the airport in 30 mins or I’d miss the flight. I checked Maps – 41 mins by road, 21 mins by Metro. Obvious decision,” he stated further.

Anirudh entered the Saidapet Metro after purchasing a QR ticket with Paytm. According to him, the train was immaculate and brand new and he had no trouble riding it with his trolley bag. His trip was made much easier once he arrived at the airport station. Anirudh said that the station was directly connected to the terminals via travellators and led him to a Digi Yatra entrance designated for Metro travellers.

He said he ultimately caught his flight, calling the experience ‘super convenient.’ He decided to suggest the Chennai Metro to tourists visiting the city as a result of the event.
