Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other opposition leaders have been detained by Delhi Police as they led a protest close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg. There, Congress leaders demanded accountability for the NEET UG 2026 paper leak and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Rahul Gandhi also shared a tweet regarding this.
Police were observed carrying Rahul Gandhi to the bus in an effort to remove him from the area by force. According to ANI, while being detained by the Delhi Police, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “They are cowards. They are scared. We are not scared of them. They are scared of us.”
According to the reports, Union Minister Jitendra Singh paid a visit to the protest location and met Rahul Gandhi in an unusual gesture, but the demonstration was broken up hours later and Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and others were detained by the police. At least ten police officers surrounded Rahul Gandhi as he sat on the road and wouldn’t budge. Later, he was taken away, according to reports.
PM Modi also addressed the NEET paper leak on Tuesday, stating that preventing such incidents is a national responsibility. The administration acted quickly after the NEET paper leak reports surfaced, resulting in arrests and fast punishment for the responsible parties, according to PM Modi.
