“Sorry for checking the PNR status, please forgive me,” the tweet reads. Before the user could access ticket information, the captcha reportedly displayed the calculation (9876 x 543 – 2468) / 4 =? The user posted the screenshot and said he was merely attempting to look up his PNR status and pleading to be spared.

He made a suggestion in another post that the math problems on the IRCTC website had suddenly become considerably more difficult. Many people found the incident funny and the post quickly drew the attention of online users.
