More Details About the Largest Indoor Swimming Pool in Mumbai
The best part is that the swimming pool is just 10 to 15 minutes away from Worli, Dadar, Parel, and Mahalakshmi. Moreover, swimmers who wish to improve their skills get a golden opportunity to train under the Olympian swimmer-turned-coach, Virdhawal Khade. The athlete has bagged a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly at the 2010 Asian Games and is an Arjuna Award recipient. He is also the head coach of the eponymous Khade Aquatics.
Talking about the pool and astounding facilities offered, he stated, “It is not Olympic-sized, strictly speaking, as, for an Olympic pool, the length is 50m, which this pool is. However, the width is 25 m, we have 18.5 m here, a 6.5-m difference.”
Most of the indoor pools have a 25m length, but this pool, with a 50 m length, takes the crown as the largest pool in Mumbai. After a few years, the pool has been revamped with a complex design, spruced-up training, and fresh aesthetics. Undoubtedly, world-class swimming training is now at your doorstep! So, wait no longer, head to the Kamgar Stadium pool and unwind your daily stress into the blues.
