Ladakh Hit by 5.7 Magnitude Earthquake; Government Issues Advisory
A tremor was felt in the Leh–Ladakh region, which lies in the seismically active Himalayan belt.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 struck the Ladakh region in northwestern Kashmir on Monday. The epicentre was located in the Leh–Ladakh region at a depth of 171 km. The earthquake occurred at 11:51:14 am, the NCS said.
Tremors were reported across parts of the Leh–Ladakh region. No immediate reports of casualties or damage have been received so far.
Authorities said the situation is being closely monitored and have advised people to remain cautious in view of possible aftershocks.
