Parliament’s Winter Session will begin on 1st December. The session is expected to focus on crucial bills related to insurance, education, corporate laws, and nuclear energy, among other sectors.

The government has listed 10 new major legislations for consideration during the Winter Session. One of the most significant areas of focus will be the civil nuclear sector, including The Atomic Energy Bill, 2025, which seeks to regulate the use and governance of atomic energy in India. Another key proposal is the bill to establish a higher education regulator, officially titled The Higher Education Commission of India Bill.

- Proposes amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, to strengthen dispute-resolution mechanisms.
- The Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025
- Amends 17 laws, eliminates imprisonment for several minor offences and rationalises penalties. The bill was previously introduced in the Lok Sabha on 18 August 2025.
