IndiGo Announces Direct Flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport to Six Cities From March 29
IndiGo is taking the lead. The airline company is now offering direct flights from the recently opened Navi Mumbai International Airport to six cities, according to the reports.
With effect from March 29, 2026, IndiGo will launch new direct routes between Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Ahmedabad, Diu, Goa, Rajkot, Belgaum and Kolhapur. In a formal release, the airline announced that it would use its ATR planes on these routes, boosting its operations outside NMIA and improving local air connectivity in the area.
These services build on IndiGo’s expanding presence in Navi Mumbai by providing easy schedules, increased flexibility and uninterrupted air travel to and from the airport. In its ongoing efforts to support local economies and tourism, promote regional aviation expansion and facilitate quicker and more dependable connections between tier 2, tier 3 cities and major metropolitan centers, IndiGo continues to play a crucial role by growing its ATR network, according to the airline.
IndiGo claims that its widebody operations on Boeing 787-9 aircraft have encountered difficulties due to ongoing changes in airspace regulations brought about by geopolitical events, as well as overcrowding at Indian and international airports, ANI reports.
