IMD Issues Red Alert in Delhi For Heavy Rain, Flight Delays are Expected

Due to severe rain, several regions of Delhi and the surrounding areas have become waterlogged, interrupting traffic and daily life in the National Capital Region (NCR) and prompting the weather office to issue a red alert warning in various parts of Delhi. Passengers traveling to Indira Gandhi International Airport have received notifications from a number of airlines.

Based on the India Meteorological Department’s prediction, GMR, the operator of IGI Airport, stated in an advisory released at 10:30 am that adverse weather was predicted in the area of the airport, while airport operations were currently continuing as usual.
