Delhi city was affected due to heavy rain and many parts of the area experienced waterlogging. The people faced hurdles as they walked through the cold rainwater.

Water accumulation occurred on Friday afternoon on the access roads and forecourts of Terminal 2 and 3 at Delhi airport as the city experienced severe rains. A source added that the two terminals had too much water, but that was subsequently cleaned up, reports PTI. DIAL stated in a post on X on Friday evening that the airport received heavy rain this afternoon, which led to the accumulation of water in the forecourt and approach road.

On Friday, at least 11 planes at the Delhi airport were rerouted as a result of poor weather. One official stated that five planes were diverted to Jaipur, four to Lucknow, one to Chandigarh and one to Ahmedabad. According to the official, the detours occurred between 3:30 and 5:00 pm, according to reports.

“I have never seen anything like this; there is so much water. I have been standing here for about half an hour now. I am waiting for the water level to recede a bit so I can head towards the arrival gates,” speaking to the news agency ANI, a passenger at the airport discussed the circumstances.
