Heatwave Hits Maharashtra; Vidarbha Soars Above 42 Degrees Celsius While Mumbai Prepares for Humid Conditions
Citizens are experiencing massive heat in Mumbai and other parts of the region in Maharashtra as the temperature is soaring high day by day. There is a heatwave alert across the state. Mumbai’s temperature is more relaxing than other regions, but the humidity is making day to day life even more difficult. People should avoid going in extreme heat during noon hours and keep themselves hydrated as the heatwave is soon to hit the city.
The highest temperature in Santacruz was 34.6 degrees Celsius, while Colaba had a temperature of 34 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperatures were 23.4 degrees Celsius and 27.4 degrees Celsius, respectively, according to the reports.
Maharashtra is experiencing a temperature increase, with heatwave conditions reported in several areas. In the next days, Mumbai is predicted to have hot and muggy conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that maximum temperatures have increased in many areas throughout the last several days. While the heatwave in Vidarbha and Marathwada has intensified, there has been a significant increase in North Madhya Maharashtra.
The temperature in many areas of Vidarbha was around 2 degrees Celsius higher than the seasonal norm on Sunday. With 43.1 degrees Celsius, Akola recorded the highest maximum temperature, which was 1.1 degrees Celsius higher than the previous day and 2.4 degrees Celsius higher than average, as per the media reports.
The minimum temperature in coastal areas like Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg is predicted to be between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature might be between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, as per the reports.
