A horrific incident has taken place in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a homeowner asking for pending rent was killed by two tenants. She was later stuffed in a suitcase. This crime scene has again shaken the nation.

On Tuesday night, a 47 year old woman, who was the owner of the flat, was found dead in her rented apartment. Tuesday morning, the woman went to her other house in order to get her tenants’ monthly rent.

According to the media reports, the police officials in Ghaziabad stated on Thursday that a woman was reportedly killed and her body was discovered late Wednesday night crammed in a bag inside the tenant’s apartment in the Aura Chimera high rise in the Raj Nagar Extension of Ghaziabad. They added that a suspected couple, who were tenants of the dead, have been taken into custody.

According to ANI, concern emerged when she didn’t come home or answer calls all day and later, her body was found squeezed inside a big red suitcase, per the police officials.

Her absence prompted her household staff to become suspicious and notify the police. The apartment was then searched, resulting in the terrible finding of her body being hidden within the building.

According to authorities, the deceased’s home help became suspicious when she left her apartment late Wednesday night to collect rent from her renters and never returned. The help then contacted the tenant’s apartment. Following that, she grew wary of the renters’ responses and informed the neighbors and ultimately, on Wednesday about 11:15 pm, the police were summoned.
