Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognized the increase in fuel costs caused by the conflict between the US and Iran in the West Asia, but in a speech, he stated that the urgent need is to conserve fuel.
In order to highlight the need to use fuel wisely, the PM stated, “During COVID-19, we got into WFH, virtual meetings, video conferencing and many other methods. They became a habit for us. It is imperative that those strategies be brought back into use. We have to make decisions that prioritize the nation above everything else throughout a worldwide crisis.”
For individuals who have to drive, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged carpooling and urged residents of cities with metro connections to utilize public transportation. Additionally, he urged electric car owners to make the most of their vehicles.
