A shocking incident happened in Bangalore where a Rapido rider tried to abuse a woman. The woman claims that she was riding on the bike where he tried to grab her legs. She warned him not to do this. She has officially filed a complaint. The woman also said she was unsure of the bike’s direction and was new to the area, so she couldn’t ask the rider to pull over. Crimes against women are still not being addressed properly. The victims aren’t claiming silence, but the people who did such a shameful act do not have any fear of the law, say the netizens.

A Rapido rider tried to harass the woman passenger. She took the video of such disgusting act by the rider and went to the police. She filed an FIR in Bangalore after that. The incident took place about 4 p.m. Thursday, according to the police report. After registering a First Information Report (FIR), the Wilson Garden Police have initiated their investigation into the case.

What exactly happened?

The woman described the experience in an Instagram post. She said, “The rider attempted to grab my legs while riding a Rapido ride back to my PG, that is, paying guest from Church Street. It happened so fast that I couldn’t even comprehend it, much less document it,” she added. The woman further says, “I told him Bhaiya, Kya rahe ho? Mat karo! Meaning What are you doing? Don’t do this! But he did it again,” she claimed.

The woman said that when she reached her home, a man who was standing nearby noticed it and asked her what had happened. She further added that, “He went up to the rider and told him what I had said.” The woman stated that the rider apologized and promised not to repeat it, but he then pointed his finger at her in a manner that increased her sense of insecurity.

She said further that, “I’m sharing this because no woman should have to endure anything like this, whether in a cab, on a bike, or anywhere else. I’ve had similar things happen to me before.” However, she added in the Instagram post that she felt compelled to speak out today due to the dangerous environment.
