BMC Election Results: Complete List of Mumbai Winners in Civic Polls Across Various Wards

After four years of waiting, BMC Elections 2026 were concluded on January 15, 2026, with results announced the following day. The Civic Poll winners will now take charge and impact local policies and development in the coming months. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has achieved a landslide victory in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. Emerged as the single largest party, they have secured a majority of seats. The triumph has undoubtedly been historic, bringing an end to the years of Shiv Sena dominance over the BMC. 

Around midnight, the State Election Commission announced the results for all 227 wards. BJP emerged with 89 seats, while Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena secured 29 seats. Together, the alliance earned a majority mark in India’s richest civic body.

Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena bagged 65 seats, MNS struggled with only six, and the Congress, contesting in alliance with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, received a total of 24 seats. Other political parties, including All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), won eight seats, NCP managed to get three, Samajwadi Party won two, and NCP (SP) earned just one seat.
