Ordering a tasty pizza online is now very common. We order pizza online in a matter of seconds when we become hungry and it arrives soon after. A fascinating post has now been shared by a woman. She shared the price difference of the same purchased pizza from various sources.

To determine which food delivery app is the most costly, a lady from Bengaluru compared rates across several of them. Shreya Jha’s experiment pitted the top two food delivery apps, Swiggy and Zomato, against a new service dubbed Ownly, which bills itself as a cheaper option with no hidden costs.

Her post reads as follows:

Yesterday I was reading about Ownly, a food delivery app, started by Rapido.
– They claim to have no hidden charges.
– Low commission from restaurant owners
– They already have a fleet.

So I checked the prices of corn pizza at Swiggy, Zomato and Ownly.

1. Swiggy:
There is a discount of Rs. 50 on the original price. Yet I have to pay Rs. 180.

2. Ownly:
The cost of the pizza is Rs. 119 and then there is Rs. 5.95 GST. I have to pay Rs. 124.95.

3. Zomato:

There is a packaging fee, delivery fee, platform fee, feeding India donation and then GST. Here I have to pay Rs. 191.37.

Surely, the price difference will attract a lot of customers, but will this be sustainable?

Will the differentiating factor collapse?

She has shared the screenshots too. Many are commenting on her post. Rapido’s independent delivery program, Ownly, was introduced. On March 3, the service was formally introduced in Bengaluru. Ownly bills itself as a low commission delivery app with no undisclosed fees.
