A few weeks ago, National Award-winning singer Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing. The Tum Hi Ho singer has been ruling hearts with his mellifluous voice for over 15 years. The film industry, like fans, is equally shocked by Arijit’s decision. Aamir Khan, who has collaborated with the singer several times, went above and beyond to make him sing for the film ‘Ek Din’.

Aamir Khan Spills The Beans

Recently, Aamir Khan Productions shared a post thanking Arijit Singh for lending his voice for the movie. Many wondered if the superstar went to Arijit’s residence to convince him to change his retirement decision. Now, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor has revealed what exactly happened when he met Singh.

Aamir Khan clearly denied the claims that he went to West Bengal to convince Arijit Singh to not retire from playback singing. The 3 Idiots actor said that he was in Murshidabad for some other purpose. “Though I did try my best to persuade him to reconsider, it was in vain. He seems to have made up his mind,” Aamir told Deccan Chronicle.

Coming to the film Ek Din, it features Aamir’s son Junaid Khan with Sai Pallavi. As Arijit Singh has sung for the movie, Aamir visited the singer to render the movie’s songs. Khan revealed that Arijit is singing for Junaid’s character, and he convinced the Channa Mereya singer to do the same. Aamir also mentioned that Ek Din was Arijit’s earlier commitment, and he has sung all five songs in the film.
