Vishwanath & Sons Box Office Collections: Suriya, Mamitha’s Romance Saga Mints Over Rs 76 Cr So Far
Starring Suriya and Mamitha in the lead roles, “Vishwanath & Sons” hit the theatres on Aug 14. On the first day, the romance saga minted Rs 15.35 crore and continued its momentum at the box office throughout the Independence Day weekend. The Venky Atluri directorial jumped to Rs 22.25 crore on Saturday, while on Sunday it collected Rs 20.55 crore.
Moreover, the film received positive reviews from both fans and critics. Many called the film fun, breezy, yet emotional. On its first Monday, there was an expected drop in the numbers. However, the romance saga has continued to maintain strong numbers after a successful opening weekend.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, “Vishwanath & Sons” has grossed a total of Rs 76.50 crore in India. As of 11 AM IST on Day 5, the film has collected Rs 20 lakh by running across 1,135 shows. With an overseas gross of Rs 45 crore, the film’s worldwide gross has reached Rs 120.88 crore.
Talking about the occupancy, the film registered an occupancy of 42.4 percent on the first day of its release. On Saturday, it jumped to 59 percent, whereas on Sunday, it observed 53.2 percent. The film recorded a 27.9 percent occupancy across 4,962 shows on Monday.
Considering the buzz in the domestic markets, Karnataka seized top rank after being the film’s strongest contributor. It grossed Rs 30.50 crore; in Tamil Nadu it earned Rs 30 crore, Kerala contributed Rs 8.85 crore, with the rest of India accounting for Rs 6.53 crore. As days pass, it is interesting to see where the film stands after the second week.
