After a successful theatrical run, Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s “Vishwanath and Sons” is all geared up for its OTT debut. Released on August 14, the family entertainer is set to arrive on Netflix on Sept. 11, 2026. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film opened to Rs. 17.74 core. After running for 25 days, it has achieved worldwide collections of Rs 260 crore. Just a day before annoucing the film’s digital debut, the makers announced that it has grossed over 260 crore at the global box office.
Director Venky Atluri, the film hailed as Suriya’s second starrer of the year to gross over 250 crore from theatres worldwide, after “Karuppu” which earned over Rs 300 crore.

On Tuesday, Netflix and the director took to their offical social media handles to announce the OTT arrival of “Vishwanath and Sons”. They wrote, “Meet Sanjay Vishwanath – Athlete, billionaire, philanthropist and a loving father. Watch Vishwanath & Sons on Netflix, out 11 September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Besides Suriya and Mamitha, the film also features Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. It chronicles the saga of Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, a shooter who has been chasing excellence for years before his life turns upside down due to age, family responsibilities, and unexpected love. The film beautifully unfolds the magical side of age-gap romance. Not just that, the moviegoers appreciated the film’s mature treatment, be it surrogacy unconventional age-gap relationship, and the family values.
