Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna were Karan Johar’s second guests on “Koffee With Karan Season 9.” The episode premiered on Oct. 21, 2026, on JioHotstar. Some viewers expressed concern over comments that Vijay made, finding them insensitive and humiliating toward Rashmika. Clapping back at the online comments, Rashmika shared a lengthy statement on Instagram. She wrote, “My lovely people of the internet, To all those who deeply love and to those who are permanently bitter. My lil’ 2 cents on this whole issue concerning me and Vijju. I generally don’t address these things because everyone has a right to their opinions (sic).” She talked about being inundated with opinions, comments, unsolicited advice, and the various perspectives regarding their personal lives and decision to marry each other.

On the other hand, Vijay also shared a glimpse of their personal life along with a caption, intending to hit back at the opinions, unwanted pieces of advice, and backlash they were being bombarded with. The Ranabaali actor wrote, “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right. For all those concerned, we are both gloriously happy.
