Koffee With Karan Season 9: Episode One Featuring Salman Khan
The final season of Karan Johar-hosted “Koffee With Karan S9” kicked off with Bollywood’s bhaijaan, Salman Khan. Later, Karisma Kapoor made a surprise cameo to host the famous Rapid Fire Round for Salman. The trio sparked laughter while the 60-year-old actor jokingly labeled their decades-long friendship as their longest-lasting affair. When Karan Johar revealed that Karisma Kapoor called her relationship with Salman Khan ‘platonic’, the actor said, “She is lying. The longest living affair. She left me and got married. I was so heartbroken (laughs).” With surprised eyes, Lolo asked, “What is he saying? You are giving them a lot of content.“
On the other hand, the actor spoke about his bachelor life and desire for fatherhood. He opened up saying, “Nobody stopped me from getting married; I stopped myself. I can’t blame anyone because it was my decision, and I am happy with it. But yes, kids will come into the picture one day. I do want to have children at some point. That’s the most amazing thing.”
When asked about the best and worst things about him, the actor stated, “The best thing about being Salman is Salman, and the worst thing about being Salman is also Salman. Gabbar ko Gabbar hi maar sakta hai.” As the episode unfolded, he spilled a lot of beans, sparking conversations over the internet. When asked about his biopic, the actor clarified that there will be no biographical film. The story of his life will be buried with his grave. Meanwhile, he also spoke about his thoughts of keeping his life private. He shared, “Ever since I was 15 or 16… this is something I learned from my father (veteran screenwriter Salim Khan)… I never wanted to talk about my personal life in public. The bedroom is the bedroom, while the living room is the entire country. What should stay in the bedroom shouldn’t reach the living room.” Last but not least, one piece of advice from the B-town actor that captivated the audience was, “Move on. Don’t carry your past with you. Don’t live in the future; live in the present.”
A fresh episode will air every Wednesday at 9 PM IST on Amazon Prime Video. The last season of “Koffee With Karan” is rumoured to have an exciting guest list. Apart from Salman Khan, there have been speculations that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, Ananya Panday and Ananya Birla, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, Vedang Raina, Sharvari Wagh, Lakshya, Kareena Kapoor Khan with Saif Ali Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani as an expected pairing, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor will be gracing the coffee couch.
