Toxic: A Love Story for Grown Ups: Huma Qureshi Shines As Elizabeth In a Dark And Intense Avatar

After revealing Kiara Advani’s first look as Nadai, the makers introduced Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth a few days ago. In her first appearance, the Indian actress rocks a full-length black gown, featuring a thigh-high slit and a ruffled neckline. The striking pose and gothic aesthetic complement her persona seamlessly, piquing curiosity among fans about what her role in the film is going to be.

Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth in Toxic: A Love Story for Grown Ups elicits hints of mystery and elegance. The 39-year-old actress is spotted standing tall against a cemetery backdrop and a classic black car. The black gown features a striking sleeve design, dropping subtle cues of the darker and complex layers of her character. In a nutshell, the old-world glamour effortlessly wraps the gothic menace of Elizabeth. 

On the other hand, the funereal location, graveyard-like setting, old tombstones, stone statues, and the subdued color palette of the poster add depth to Huma’s character. She clearly prefers composure and sophistication rather than explicit aggression. 

Bankrolled by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the movie is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. It is going to compete with Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh’s starrer Dhurandhar 2. It is also interesting to note that Toxic is expected to be a bigger comeback for Yash, post the release of his blockbuster, KGF: Chapter 2. The action-thriller has been in development for a long time and is being made in both Kannada and English.
