Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has begun accepting advance bookings in India on a promising note. The big-ticket film is slated to hit the theatres on July 17, 2025. Surprisingly, fans and movie enthusiasts are open to reserving their spots in the theatres. The much-anticipated Hollywood film has sold over 150,000 tickets so far, earning approximately Rs. 2 crore. It has doubled Oppenheimer’s pace despite premium IMAX tickets costing up to Rs 3,300.

Currently, a limited inventory is on sale, with most IMAX cinemas having just two shows a day open for booking. For the unversed, after delivering massive box office hits like The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Interstellar, and Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan is all set for his next blockbuster, The Odyssey.

It is safe to say that The Odyssey has generated a significant buzz since its announcement. Alongside Nolan, the fantasy action drama boasts a stellar star cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. 

Through advance bookings, the Indian box office has already minted Rs 2 crore, five weeks prior to its much-awaited release. Moreover, the good seats are booked at the majority of locations, with only the bottom ones remaining, which will get sold closer to release. Considering the buzz and current trends in just the advance bookings phase, the movie is expected to dominate the ticket windows and enjoy a banger opening at the Indian box office.
