DC Studios’ newest feature film, Supergirl, is all set to release in theaters worldwide on June 26, 2026. It stars Australian actress Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl and Kara Zor-El. The movie follows a gripping theme where Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, joins forces with an unlikely companion when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home. It is indeed an epic and interstellar journey of vengeance and justice bound to captivate movie fanatics worldwide.

Alongside the 25-year-old Milly is a stellar cast including Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. Here’s what you can expect from the highly anticipated film directed by Craig Gillespie.

DC Studios Supergirl Movie Trailer: What to Expect?

The two-minute trailer shows a glimpse of the movie that is surely nothing short of a wild entertainer. It opens up with very hungover Supergirl sprawled on her bed. While dragging herself through the day and hopping into the bus, she appears to be messy, sarcastic, and refreshingly human.

Cut to the scene, where Kara Zor-El raises a toast and declares that 23 is going to be the best year. Her laid-back and chill-out vibe is sensed right in the first few minutes of the trailer. However, the tables turn when the flashes of Kara’s past hint at the emotional wreckage left behind by Krypton’s destruction.

What captivates the audience is the chaos and action-packed sequences of the movie. There is also a brief glimpse of Jason Momoa as the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. Nonetheless, Supergirl’s suit fits Kara’s rough-around-the-edges personality perfectly and feels more real than iconic. What makes her stand apart from Superman? Kara Zor-el states, “He sees the good in everyone; I see the truth.”
