Single Papa Season 2: Netflix Renews Kunal Kemmu’s Comedy Drama, Promises More Laughter

Netflix’s much-loved family drama Single Papa is soon going to set the OTT screen ablaze with heart-melting emotions, humor, and adorable chaos from the Gehlot household. Thanks to the overwhelming love of the audience worldwide, the film secured its position in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows for two weeks. 

Headlined by Kunal Kemmu, the family drama’s nuanced exploration of modern versus traditional values and familial bonds instantly resonated with the viewers. The feel-good family show is now all set to meet the audience once again with a fresher take and another heart-warming season.

Single Papa follows the story of Gaurav Gehlot, a single father who strives to navigate parenthood, family dynamics, and the everyday absurdities of life. Gaurav’s journey felt personal, relatable, and deeply human, creating a cultural impact. As a result, the film was also acknowledged by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) of India for its sensitive and responsible portrayal of the adoption process. The recognition positioned the binge-worthy show as a positive reference point for informed and ethical adoption practices. 

Alongside Khemmu, the stellar ensemble cast comprises Prajakta Koli, Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed, Dhruv Rathee, and Isha Talwar. Created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, the relationship drama is all set to return on Netflix with a fresh, new season. 

Through a press release, the Executive Producer, Shashank Khaitan, stated that Single Papa was conceived as a long-form, family-first story that could grow with its characters. After receiving positive reviews and feedback from critics, he realized that the audience connected deeply with baby Amul, Gaurav, and the Gehlots. The connection reinforced their belief that the narrative was never meant to end with a single chapter.

Audience now await the release date of Single Papa 2  as the Gehlot family prepares to welcome them back with added heart-warming humour and special moments that feel like home.
