Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s Tiger v/s Pathaan Shelved by Yash Raj Films? Here’s WHY!

Fans are eagle-eyed on Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Tiger v/s Pathaan since its announcement. However, reports indicate that the spy thriller has been shelved by Yash Raj Films due to high star fees. Positioned as India’s biggest action film, Tiger v/s Pathaan promises high-octane drama. According to Deccan Chronicle’s report, Aditya Chopra’s production house has put the film on hold for the moment. The major challenge of the film was the remuneration of the two stars.

An informed source close to the development stated, “If both the Khans had agreed to take a discount, Tiger Vs Pathaan could have been possible despite Yash Raj’s ‘War 2’ flopping. But the budgets being what they are, thanks mainly to star fees, the Spy Universe seems to have come up against a wall.”

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are waiting to watch the mega spectacle, Tiger Vs Pathaan. The concept of the film struck the creators only after the massive success of Pathaan. The media report further stated that the latest developments suggest that the film had been stalled before entering into the production phase. Reportedly, the makers can’t afford to pay a remuneration of approximately Rs 100 crore to both the leading superstars. 

Furthermore, the source revealed that rising production costs, requirements for massive action sequences, and other factors have significantly escalated the overall budget of the movie. Now, fans await an official announcement from the makers regarding the release date as well as the resumption of the filming process.
