Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 Shelved, Farhan Akhtar to Focus on This Multi-Starrer

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar took the world by storm, dominating the box office for over 50 days. Amidst the buzz, news of the actor exiting Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 emerged due to creative differences and scheduling conflicts. Official announcement of the next lead actor is anticipated. Out of the blue, reports suggest that Farhan Akhtar has shelved the third installment of Don and has shifted his focus to Alia Bhatt’s Jee Le Zaraa. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar has put Don 3 on hold and is now focusing on Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt’s Jee Le Zaraa. According to reports, Farhan feels the casting of Don 3 is vital and time-consuming. He wants to be absolutely sure about who steps into the role. With Don 3 taking time at the casting phase, the filmmaker felt this was the right time to revive discussions with the original team and push the film forward.

On the other hand, Akhtar is trying to align the dates with the three leading ladies, reportedly Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. If the dates align and things go as planned, the film could go on the floor in the second half of 2026. The movie is expected to be similar to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Dil Chahta Hai. It will be written in collaboration with Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti.
