Saiyaara Team of Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, Akshaye Widhani Reunite for YRF’s Romance Drama

Saiyaara fans, assemble! Director Mohit Suri and Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani, come together to bring to you yet another musical romance drama starring Saiyaara fame Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. As per reports, the untitled film is aiming for a 2027 cinematic arrival. On Wednesday, the production house shared a press release, stating that the untitled film will be a cinematic experience that blends heartfelt storytelling with unforgettable melodies.

The film is set to go on floors later this year. Panday and Padda, whose pairing drew a devoted fan following under the portmanteau “Ahneet,” will headline the film. For the unversed, Saiyaara was one of the highest-grossing love stories in Indian cinema history with an INR 580 crore gross collection worldwide.

Saiyaara Team Reunites for Yash Raj Films Romantic Drama

Helmed by director Mohit, the yet-to-be-titled drama has sparked discussions around the sequel to Saiyaara. Talking about what excites him about making a love story, he shared, “It’s always been love stories for me… overwhelming – when emotions are so unbound, self-consuming and become impossible to ignore. Love is supposed to be felt intensely, and that’s why I naturally gravitate towards this as a storyteller.” According to the CEO of Yash Raj Films, for Mohit, it is about chasing a feeling, a piece of music, a moment that lingers long after the screen fades to black. 

Mohit Suri has a lot of romantic musicals to his credit, like Aashiqui 2, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, and Malang. He is also renowned for emotionally charged soundtracks. The reunion marks his second consecutive project with YRF following Saiyaara. Nonetheless, eagle-eyed fans and movie buffs are intrigued to know further updates from the team.
