Kartik Aaryan’s much-talked-about comedy-adventure drama Naagzilla has generated a lot of buzz since the release of its first poster, teaser, and trailers. Just when fans and movie buffs were counting down the days until theatrical arrival, the makers took to their social media timelines to announce the postponement of its release date. Initially scheduled to hit the silver screens on August 14, Naagzilla will now be arriving in cinemas on February 12, 2027.

In April last year, the actor shared a motion poster on his Instagram. Since then, the audience and movie enthusiasts have been waiting for the film’s release. After months of staying tight-lipped, on Wednesday, the makers made an official announcement regarding the film’s anticipated release. A fresh poster was revealed with a new release date, leaving fans and movie fanatics disheartened. Take a closer look!

Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla to Release in February 2027

Produced by Dharma Productions, Naagzilla is helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Starring Kartik Aaryan as the protagonist, the film was earlier scheduled to release on August 14, 2026. However, months before its anticipated release, the makers pushed its grand cinematic arrival to 2027. Skipping this year’s Independence Day, they have secured a lot during Valentine’s week next year, on February 12.

Post its theatrical release, the comedy drama will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime. Penned by Gautam Mehra, Kartik is expected to play the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadhari Naag (shape-shifting serpent) in the film. Due to the postponement, the film will also avoid a box office clash with Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947, which is scheduled to release on August 13. Hence, as of now, Naagzilla will be enjoying a clearer box office window next year in February.
