Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been pushed to June 4, 2026, due to the rising tensions in the Middle East. West Asia is one of the key markets for the film, hence the makers had to postpone its release. However, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Darling Krishna’s Love Mocktail 3 have sealed the empty slot of March 19. Additionally, the science-fiction film Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, has been postponed by a week. Sony Pictures India revealed that its science-fiction film Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, will hit theatres on March 26, instead of March 20. Now, a total of 3 films will be competing with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge

Alongside English, the film will release in theatres, with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film’s March 20 release remains the same in theatres outside India. According to the producers, since Dhurandhar 2 is a sequel with considerable anticipation, it is expected to have a strong opening.

On March 6, 2026, the distributors of the Project Hail Mary in India took to their social media handle to announce their decision to move the release to one week later. Alongside a poster of the film, Sony Pictures India wrote, “An update from Earth… before we head to space! We want this journey to be truly out of this world. Project Hail Mary will be in IMAX and cinemas on March 26, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.”

For the unversed, the film revolves around Ryan Gosling’s character, Ryland Grace, a modest middle school educator who awakens alone on a spacecraft with no recollection of how he arrived there. As memories of his past emerge, he realizes he’s on a mission to rescue Earth from disaster. On his journey, he unexpectedly develops a friendship with an alien who is also striving to save his own world. The film features Sandra Hller, Lionel Boyce, and Ken Leung. It is produced by Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, Andy Weir, and Ryan Gosling in key roles.
