On Friday, Prime Video announced Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag as the host of its upcoming reality show, “Rise and Fall Season 2.” Renowned for his fearless batting, sharp wit, and unmistakable straight-talking style, Sehwag is all set to make his OTT debut by replacing Ashnoor Grover. The streamer shared a captivating promo featuring Virender Sehwag putting his own playful spin on life’s eternal ups and downs.

In the unpredictable world of Rise and Fall Season 2, the stakes are high, and no position is ever guaranteed. Sehwag has always turned every ball into an opportunity and never shied away from a challenge. Hence, the former Indian cricketer finds himself in a game where the rules are entirely different. The exact release date and list of contestants are yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, take a closer look at the newly dropped promo.

Prime Video’s Rise and Fall Season 2 to be Hosted by Virender Sehwag

In the Prime Video’s Rise and Fall Season 2 promo, Virender opens up about life’s challenges and how mistakes can teach us valuable lessons. Meanwhile, the premise of the reality show revolves around 15 celebrity contestants divided into two groups, namely the Rulers and the Workers. The rulers live in the relative luxury of the penthouse, whereas the workers are stationed in the basement. As the game progresses, the participants are allowed to move between the two worlds, with their positions determined by decisions, alliances, and strategy. Money and influence are central to the gameplay, making the power hierarchy anything but permanent.

Talking about his OTT debut, Virender Sehwag shared that cricket has taught him that no match is won before the final ball, and Rise and Fall Season 2 takes that unpredictability to another level. He further added, “As a host, what excites me about this game is that there are no easy wins and no fixed positions. The biggest challenge isn’t just getting to the top but knowing how to stay there. You have to know when to attack, when to defend, and, most importantly, when to read the game before it reads you. With money, strategy, and shifting equations in play, there’s no room for complacency. I’m looking forward to watching the contestants navigate the game, take risks, make alliances and show what they’re really made of.
