From romance, mystery, and drama to thriller, movies and OTT series from Bollywood, Tollywood, and Hollywood are premiering. Here’s a roundup of the much-awaited films and shows that have sparked a significant buzz online.

New Films And OTT Releases This Week (Oct 5 to Oct 10)

  1. Reporting Live

Starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead role, “Reporting Live” chronicles the saga of an ambitious young journalist and her veteran cameraman who uncover a dangerous illegal sand-mining racket run by a powerful syndicate. Set to premiere on Netflix on Oct. 9, the thriller marks the second OTT drama for Chopra. 

  1. Carrie 

The supernatural horror and teen drama, developed by Mike Flanagan, premieres on Oct. 7 on Prime Video. It follows the story of Carrie White, portrayed by Summer H. Howell, a sheltered, awkward teenager who has been aggressively homeschooled and kept out of society by her fanatically controlling mother, Margaret White (Samantha Sloyan).

  1. Pati Patni Aur Panga S2

Scheduled to arrive on Oct. 10, Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2 is all set to begin streaming on JioHotstar. The celebrity couple reality game show features renowned pairs as participants who must pass tests proving their chemistry, compatibility, and real-life understanding. In a nutshell, the audience may get a glimpse of fun challenges, tasks, and candid conversations about their married lives.

  1. Mandaadi 

After completing its box office theatrical run, “Mandaadi” is all set for its digital debut on Netflix on Oct. 9. The Tamil sports action drama stars Soori as Muthukaali, who is a skilled boat racer. His life takes a different turn before circumstances bring him back to the sport. Besides Soori, the film also features Suhas in a key role in the film as his rival.

  1. 100 Days of Deception 

Slated to arrive on Netflix on Oct. 10, “100 Days of Deception” is a South Korean historical spy romance series set in 1932 Gyeongseong during the Japanese colonial period. Lee Ga-kyeong, a pickpocket, goes undercover as an interpreter inside the Japanese Government-General for a 100-day espionage mission. She crosses paths with elite interpreter Kim Tae-woong.
