Ranveer Singh has exited from the much-awaited Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Don 3 as he doesn’t want to do back-to-back gangster films. After Dhurandhar’s buzzing box office storm, Singh is very clear about the kind of projects he wants to do next. A source close to the development revealed that the 40-year-old B-town actor would like to collaborate with renowned filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee to break the monotony of work. 

Post the release of Dhurandhar, Singh was expected to begin preparations for Don 3. However, given the current situation, the film is now indefinitely pushed. Farhan Akhtar and the team have cast Kriti Sanon as the female lead of the action thriller. The third part of the franchise is anticipated to be a grand affair, with extensive filming planned across various European locations.

Since Dhurandhar has already introduced Raveer Singh in the gangster film, he has requested Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of the Applause Entertainment-backed film, tentatively titled Pralay. The zombie-based movie tells a human story about how far a man will go to save his family in the most difficult circumstances. According to the source, Ranveer is fast-tracking the project and bringing it to the floors sooner than planned. The source also said, “Now that he has prioritised other projects over Don 3, Singh is now personally involved in aligning dates and schedules for Jai Mehta’s film to ensure the film moves quickly.”
