Band Baaja Baaraat to Hit Cinemas In January 2026

The most-loved film is all set to re-release after 15 years on the big screens. The proud filmmaker shared, “Over the years, the film has found a life of its own with audiences across generations, geographies, and different moments in their lives. I am really looking forward to seeing people loving our film that was made with a lot of heart again on the big screen.” After the light-hearted movie gained popularity, love, and appreciation, it was recreated in Tamil as Aaha Kalyanam. 

Ranveer Singh essays the role of Bittoo, whereas Anushka Sharma aces the role of Shruti. She is a no-nonsense girl, hailing from a middle-class Delhi family. Moreover, she is focused, determined, and goal-oriented. On the flip side, there’s Bittoo, who has no real aim in life. He goes with the flow. An inopportune meeting gets them together as professional partners in their very own wedding planning business. Over time, their friendship and business evolve, and they realize they can’t adhere to their own rules of business, i.e., not mixing business with pleasure.
