Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi starrer Haq is all geared up for its digital debut. 

The film draws inspiration from the Shah Bano Begum 1985 case, which led the Supreme Court to grant divorced Muslim women the right to maintenance. The case typically revolves around sensitive legal and social issues concerning women’s rights and personal laws. Directed by Suparn Varma, the film was released in theatres on November 7, 2025, and will now be available on Netflix from January 2, 2026.

Starring Yami Gautam as Shazia Bano, Haq is a must-watch drama that follows the story of Bano, who seeks justice after her husband abandons her and their children, invoking instant triple talaq. The film globally collected a decent gross amount of around Rs 30 crores at the box office. Despite failing to be a blockbuster, the positive reviews and reception among critics and movie enthusiasts will help the legal drama attract viewers upon its OTT release.
