Ramayana Trailer OUT: Fans React to Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram & Yash’s Ravana Avatar, Asked Where’s Lord Hanuman?

After days of anticipation, the makers of “Ramayana” have finally dropped the trailer. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, fans hail their performances and splendid avatars. The trailer featured a glimpse of several pivotal moments from the epic, including Ram and Sita’s wedding, their exile, Surpanakha’s encounter, Sita’s abduction, and glimpses of the battle with Ravana. However, the four-minute trailer does not feature Hanuman, essayed by Sunny Deol, even once. Take a closer look at what the audiences have to say!

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari,  the trailer of “Ramayana” was dropped on July 30, 2026. It was also attached to “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, offering a glimpse to the movie goers on big screen. No sooner did the makers unveil the trailer than it sent the internet into a frenzy. Many praised the performances of the actors; however, some disliked its VFX and questioned the absence of Hanuman. Taking to X, a user shared, ““Is it just me, or is anyone else missing Hanuman ji in this Ramayana trailer?” Another stated, “So there is no Hanuman in Part 1 of #Ramayana? I didn’t see even a clip of Hanuman in the Glimpse or trailer. Why are they hiding him? Are they planning to reveal him in Part 2?” A viewer wrote, “Watched the 4 min 10 sec #Ramayana trailer, but not a single shot of HANUMAN. I feel he may not have a major role in Part 1, so the makers decided not to reveal him yet. Or maybe they’re saving his reveal for the second trailer, since the movie is still 3 months away. What do you think?”

There’s a lot to admire here, especially the creature work, the music, and the costume detailing, but the overall visuals still need some refinement. Talking about the top-notch texture and depth the story carries, a netizen wrote, “Love the new grade, it brings out the textures really well and makes everything feel natural. The depth in every shot is insane; I see why the team is pushing the 3D experience so hard. Insane is an understatement for the creature FX. The music is so damn epic 😭🔥 #Ramayana.”

While “Ramayana” carries a lot of expectations due to its reported Rs 4000 crore budget and grand scale, the audience has raised concerns about its visual quality and casting choices. All in all, the trailer has received mixed reviews.
