Following its much-awaited theatrical debut, the makers of Raja Shivaji dropped its first-ever teaser. Riteish Deshmukh leads the grand spectacle with Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, and others. Slated to arrive in theatres on May 1, 2026, the high-octane action and intense war drama is nothing short of a visual treat. To refresh your memory, the historic epic’s teaser was unveiled with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge in the theatres.

Raja Shivaji Teaser Revealed: What to Expect? 

India’s Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company released the teaser of Reteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji. After heightening excitement during its exclusive theatrical preview alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the first look now makes its digital debut, amplifying the buzz.

The historical action drama chronicles the rise of young Shivaji Bhonsale, who challenged the might of established empires to found the Maratha kingdom and lay the foundation for Swarajya self-rule during a turbulent period of Indian history. 

It is a large-scale project positioned as a pan-India release, directed by Riteish Vilasrao Deshmukh and headlined by him in the titular role and other renowned stars. The starcast includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amol Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh. Packed with high-octane action sequences and period world-building, the film boasts the Ajay-Atul musical.
