Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh’s Sitaare Zameen Par is all geared up to lay its digital footprints after nearly a year of its theatrical release. For context, the sports-comedy drama was released in theatres on 20, June 2025. Helmed by R. S. Prasanna and bankrolled by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2025 are ready to stream on SonyLiv starting from April 3, 2026.

A month after the film’s theatrical release, Aamir Khan chose to bypass traditional OTT platforms. Instead, he released Sitaare Zameen Par on his YouTube channel, ‘Aamir Khan Talkies’, under a pay-per-view model, allowing viewers to watch the film by paying around Rs 100 per view. On March 23, Sony Liv India took to their official social media handles to announce the upcoming OTT release. Here’s what the streaming platform’s announcement looked like!

On Monday, Sony Liv India announced that Sitaare Zameen Par is set to release on the popular streaming platform from April 3, 2026. The caption of the post read, “Kisi ke liye alag… kisi ke liye normal. Sabka apna normal hota hai. A heartwarming story of Hope, heart, and healing. Watch #SitaareZameenPar #SabkaApnaApnaNormal, streaming from 3rd April on Sony LIV.”

Alongside Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, the main characters of the film are a team of intellectually challenged basketball players. The film revolves around a disillusioned basketball coach, played by Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist, who is ordered to train the team of players as a punishment for drunk driving.

For the unversed, the sports drama is not a sequel to Taare Zameen Par but an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. It is a heartwarming film laced with emotions, showcasing the unwavering dedication and determination of the players.
