Priyanka Chopra Agreed to Do SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi On One Request, Here’s What She Wanted!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is making a big comeback with first Indian movie in six years. The most anticipated globe-trotting movie is slated for release on April 7, 2027. Alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mahesh Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran will star in lead roles. The Hindu mythology will be depicted for about 25 minutes of the film, as stated by the filmmaker SS Rajamouli. 

In a recent public interview with Cinema Blend, the global icon spoke about one request for her return in SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. In one of the interviews, Priyanka Chopra Jonas spilled the beans behind how she agreed to do the film. When SS Rajamouli offered her the project, she put forth a condition that was to make her dance. She hasn’t shaken a leg for a long time. Hence, the director readily agreed, but co-actor Mahesh Babu had to pay the price as he made them dance a lot. The actress recalled, “So when he called me, and he was like Oh, you know, this female character’s really cool, and you have to do it,’ and whatever, I was like, ‘I have one request: will you make me dance? Please, because I haven’t danced for so long.” 

As per reports, Bollywood’s desi girl is busy shooting for their magnum opus Varanasi in Hyderabad. The actress landed in India last month to begin the next schedule. The film has been in development for nearly three years and is expected to take another year before hitting the theatres. She is all geared up to essay the role of Mandakini in the much-awaited period drama.
