After months of speculations and rumours, director Anees Bazmee finally confirmed that the much-awaited sequel, No Entry 2, is happening. Despite scheduling hurdles and cast changes, the film is very much on track. No sooner did Bazmee break his silence on No Entry 2 delays than fans expressed their happiness online. The filmmaker also stated that the sequel is taking time but remains on track amid cast change reports.

Though the director didn’t reveal many details, his statement finally brought the rumour mill at halt. Here’s what he further added.

No Entry 2 to Go On Floors Soon

Addressing the delay that has fuelled rumours around No Entry 2, Bazmee suggested that the hold-up is more a matter of timing than anything else. He stated, “Kuch filmon ki kundli hoti hai. Main maanta hoon ki kundli hoti hai. Kabhi koi film jaldi ban jaati hai, kabhi der se banti hai. Lekin Inshallah, hum sabki koshish hai ki yeh film bane.” He further added that he has written No Entry 2 with affection and considers it one of his best-written films. He acknowledged that the project has taken time, but Bazmee maintained that the sequel is definitely moving ahead.

For the unversed, 2005’s No Entry featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan in lead roles, opposite Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitley. It became one of the biggest comedy hits of its time and continues to enjoy strong recall among audiences. The sequel will now be headlined by a fresh cast. Earlier, producer Boney Kapoor announced that it will be led by Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. However, the project came to a halt due to scheduling conflicts and casting changes. Moreover, Diljit eventually exited the film, with Kapoor later stating that the decision was amicable and driven by date issues.
