Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Screened in Los Angeles, Receives Positive Feedback!
Fans have been waiting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana since the release of its teaser last year. Positioned as one of Indian mythology’s most revered epics, the drama stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The much-anticipated film is being promoted as ‘Our Truth, Our Story’. Bankrolled by Namit Malhotra, the film boasts an impressive collaboration between music maestros A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
According to a report by The Week, the first-ever screening of Ramayana was held on Monday evening in Los Angeles, USA, at the Cinemark Playa Vista theatre. The special screening was arranged for a selected audience, ranging from 18 to 60 years of age. The initial feedback and responses have reportedly been positive.

The ground-breaking visual effects and rooted storytelling of Ramayana have swayed the audience at the Cinemark Playa Vista, Los Angeles, during the first test screening. Reportedly, only the first cut of the film was screened as a test experiment. The response of the limited audience was overwhelmingly positive. The mythological drama continues to evolve ahead of its theatrical release this Diwali.
As reported, the drama is mounted on a budget of approximately Rs 4,000 crore. Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part epic. The first instalment is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, and the second chapter will be released a year later in 2027. As the hype and curiosity around the film rise, a rough cut has already fueled the buzz.
