Michael Jackson fans, assemble! Tickets for Michael’s early shows will be available for purchase from 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The film’s distributor announced that the early access screenings will begin on Tuesday, April 22. That’s two days ahead of the biopic’s scheduled April 24 opening. Showtimes are listed at several area theaters, including Emagine, MJR, and AMC theaters, including on IMAX screens.

Michael features Jaafar Jackson, son of Jermaine Jackson, as the King of Pop. Helmed by Antoine Fuqua, the film narrates the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music. It traces his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson 5 to the visionary artist who stole the hearts of millions worldwide. With the two-day early screening, the makers give fans and cinema goers a front-row seat to Michael Jackson’s personal and professional trajectory like never before.

Alongside the nephew of the King of Pop, the biopic also stars Nia Long, Juliano Valdi, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo in key roles. In a public statement, Kevin Grayson, President of Worldwide Distribution for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said, “These early access screenings, in Imax and premium large formats, will immerse audiences in the electrifying performances and bring the power of Michael Jackson’s iconic music to life. It’s the perfect way to be the first to see the movie.”

However, a limited number of showtimes are available. Tickets for the film’s normal release will go on sale at a later date. The film highlights both his life off-stage and some of the most well-known performances from Michael Jackson’s early solo career.
