Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Rani Mukerji’s Action Thriller Opens with Rs 4.56 Crore, Better Than its Sequel

The most-awaited cop-action thriller, featuring Rani Mukerji in the lead role, has finally hit the theatres on January 30, 2026. On day 1, Mardaani 3 has opened up with good numbers and is expected to perform well at the box office in its first weekend. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the hard-hitting drama has collected Rs 4.56 crore gross and Rs 3.80 crore net, across 2,345 shows. 

With 17.6 percent occupancy, the film is struggling with Sunny Deol’s Border 2 at the box office. The film is a part of the hit franchise that began with 2014’s Mardaani under the direction of Pradeep Sarkar. Gopi Puthran helmed 2019’s second installment.

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection: Surpasses Mardaani 1 and 2 Records

Mardaani 3 has surpassed the records of both films. Mardaani 1 minted Rs 35.65 crore net while the second part raked in Rs 47.35 crore net domestically. The third installment of Rani Mukerji’s hit crime thriller franchise, Mardaani 3, received good reviews and response from both audiences and critics.

Rani Mukerji essays the lead role of a brave cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, who tracks down Amma. Played by Mallika Prasad, she runs an organised child trafficking network. The intense drama follows the story of 93 young girls who disappeared over three months. Alongside Rani, the film features Janki Bodiwala in a key role.

Penned by Aayush Gupta, Mardaani 3 is bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The morning shows noted 8.97 percent occupancy, while the afternoon and evening reached 14.78 percent and 17.13 percent, respectively. Over the weekend, it is interesting to know how the film performs alongside Border 2 and Jaaved Jaaferi’s Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion.
