Rani Mukerji’s most-talked-about film franchise is Mardaani. After years of waiting, the third installment will finally be released on January 30, 2026. With decent pre-booking sales, the crime-investigative drama is expected to perform better at the box office. As of now, the film has earned Rs 1.31 crore by selling 1,2348 across more than 3,330 screens. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar storm has been slowed down by Sunny Deol’s Border 2, and now Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 is all geared up to enter the box office race.

Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani has blocked over 24 lakh seats across Maharashtra alone. With just a day apart from its big release, the pre-booking sale numbers are increasing. In 2019, Mardaani 2 opened to Rs 3.80 crore and collected over Rs 40 crore worldwide. Mounted on a budget of Rs 30 crore, Mardaani 2 turned out to be a hit. The first part, released in 2014, was made on a budget of Rs 21 crore, whereas the film minted Rs 59.55 crore at the box office. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the third installment is reportedly made with a budget of Rs 75 to 80 crores. 

The opening weekend could see a solid turnout, with Mardaani 3 attracting fans worldwide. Mardaani 3 carries forward the legacy and continues the gritty and intense journey of Inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy, the fearless police officer. In a new chapter, Rani Mukerji, essaying the role of Shivani, is faced with a chilling mystery as she sets out to rescue missing girls without any trace or hint.
