Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty’s Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) has finally made it to the theatres after almost a year of delays and postponements. On April 10, 2026, the sci-fi romance comedy arrived in cinemas. On the first day of its release, the film managed to earn Rs 9.93 crores worldwide. For the unversed, Vignesh Shivan’s directorial is locked horns with Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha. Surprisingly, both films managed to rake in over Rs 6 crore net in India. Despite Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge buzz, LIK captivated the attention of the Tamil and Telugu-speaking audience.

The most-awaited Kollywood movie, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), earned Rs 6.85 crore net in India by running across 3,202 shows. According to film industry tracker Sacnilk, the science fiction romantic comedy grossed Rs 7.93 crore, and Rs 2 crore came from the overseas market. This brings the cumulative worldwide gross to Rs 9.93 crore. 

On the first day of its release, the film witnessed an occupancy of 32.9 percent. Through the Tamil version, it collected Rs 30 lakhs with 425 shows, and through the Telugu version, it earned Rs 7 lakhs. With a runtime of 157 minutes, the film received mixed audience response. 

Alongside Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, the drama also features SJ Suryah and Yogi Babu in key roles. Love Insurance Kompany chronicles a man who uses a mobile gadget to time-travel to 2035 in search of love. The story questions whether an app can truly replace the heart in matters of romance. Mounted on a budget of Rs 95 crore, the movie is shot in multiple locations, including Coimbatore, Udumalaipettai, Singapore, and Malaysia.
