Project Hail Mary Box Office Collection: Ryan Gosling’s Sci-fi Film Rakes in Rs 3 Cr in India

Starring Ryan Gosling, Project Hail Mary hit the theatres on March 19, 2026. Helmed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the Hollywood sci-fi action-adventure film grossed Rs. 3 crore at the Indian box office. Despite the limited release and Dhurandhar: The Revenge storm, the film opened on a really good note. On Day 1, Project Hail Mary earned a net of Rs 2.25 crore by running across 1,324 shows. According to Sacnilk, the numbers bring the total India gross collections to Rs 2.70 crore and total India net collections to Rs 2.25 cr so far. 

The sci-fi action adventure drama has surpassed the USD 100 million mark in its home markets. As a result, it became the fastest 2026 release to achieve this feat in just 6 days. Here’s a closer look at the box office collections.

Project Hail Mary is on the verge of crossing Dune‘s entire theatrical cume in just 7 days of its box office run in the US. The film is now aiming to extended opening weekend of 4 days from around Rs. 9 crore to Rs. 11 crore in India. Amazon MGM Studios‘ Project Hail Mary had a blessed Saturday, chalking up $27.1 million, just 18 percent off its Friday preview’s $33.1M.

For the context, the story is adapted from the best-selling novel by author Andy Weir, whose other book, The Martian, provided the inspiration for Ridley Scott’s 2015 movie starring Matt Damon, which was nominated for seven Oscars.
