He featured in iconic films, including 1983’s Lone Wolf McQuade, 1985’s Code of Silence, and Bruce Lee’s The Way of the Dragon, released in 1972.
The 86-year-old celebrated his birthday earlier this month. He marked the special occasion by sharing a video on social media showing himself in high spirits while boxing and training on March 10.. According to a TMZ report, the actor was hospitalised in Hawaii on Thursday, March 19. The news follows only days after Norris marked his 86th birthday.

On Friday, Chuck Norris’s family shared an official statement pertaining to the actor’s sad demise. The caption of the post read, “It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace. To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family (sic).” He was survived by his five children and wife, Gena O’Kelley.
Carlos Ray Norris in Ryan, Okla was born in 1940. Throughout his life, he lived with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Additionally, through his work, discipline, and kindness, he became the inspiration for millions around the world and left a lasting impact.
The statement added, “While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and for the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him. The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly thankful for it. To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.”
